A DAY IN NAPLES

Duration: 9am – 5pm approx

The visit will starts at Piazza del Plebiscito, the most representative square of Naples. It is surrounded on the east by the Royal Palace and on the west by the neoclassical colonnade of the Church of San Francesco di Paola. The area is not only full of buildings of artistic importance such as the Teatro di San Carlo, the oldest continuously active venue for public opera in the world, the elegant Umberto I Gallery with its magnificent iron and glass roof, the royal residence and fortress Castel Nuovo, built by the Angevins – it is also an ideal shopping area.

Guided walking tour of the Historical Centre, to discover the real face of the city. The tour starts from Gesù Nuovo Square and its church, visiting S.Chiara Church, up to S. Gregorio Armeno street, the “street of cribs”. Visit Cappella Sansevero with the Veiled Christ one of the most famous and impressive works of art in the world. Visit to the Cathedral of Naples, with the chapel of St. Gennaro, patron of the city.
